On Sunday, May 21st at 11 am all are welcome to come and show gratitude for this year’s lambs at a special church service.
A spokesperson said: “The farmers work very hard for us and lambs give us a landscape of joy. They are a sign of hope of a new season. Lambs are cute and beautiful and provide food and fabric for us as they have for generations. The prosperity of Ilkley is built on wool. The service of Thanksgiving is at St Andrew’s Church, Blubberhouses and with children’s activities and real lambs it will provide something for all ages. Refreshments will be served from 12 noon. It’s hoped that many people will get to know this special church on the hill."
