TIME is running out for budding sleuths to hunt down 20 golden estate agent boards that are hiding in plain sight across Leeds, Horsforth and parts of Wharfedale, and be in with a chance of winning a luxury city break for two, as well as helping to provide thousands of breakfasts to disadvantaged children.

For the fifth time Leeds estate agent HOP, which has offices in Horsforth, Leeds city centre and Pudsey, has distributed 200 of its famous purple boards and 20 special golden boards throughout Leeds. This year’s winner will receive £1,500 to spend on a foreign city break or holiday of their choice and there are clues to the locations of the boards on HOP’s social media pages.

Anyone who finds a golden board can enter the competition by taking a photo of the board and posting it on their Facebook wall or Instagram feed, as well as tagging one of HOP’s pages and using the hashtag #HOPGoldenBoard.

Participants can enter each time they track down a different golden board, and the competition will run until 20th May 2023. Each entry will go into a prize draw, where a winner will be chosen at random following the competition closing date.

As part of the competition, HOP has partnered with Magic Breakfast, which provides filling and nutritious breakfasts to thousands of UK children every morning. HOP is donating 2,000 breakfasts to the charity, which equates to 10 breakfasts for each of its 200 boards.

Luke Gidney, managing director at HOP, said: “Our golden boards competition has become a highlight of spring in Leeds and this year we’re already enjoying a superb response to it, with lots of entries and plenty of engagement and positive feedback.

“We’re posting clues about the locations of the golden boards on Facebook and Instagram now, so anyone playing should follow our social media pages. Participants can enter the competition each time they find a board, so players who find them all have 20 chances of winning. However, with the competition ending on 20th May, time is running out for anyone who wants to be in with a chance of jetting off to a destination of their choice this summer.”

Luke added: “We’re also excited to be supporting Magic Breakfast. Many families are facing a tough time at the moment and struggling to put food on the table, but Magic Breakfast’s work means every child starts their school day with a nutritious meal, which helps them concentrate, learn and succeed. The organisation partners with lots of schools in West Yorkshire so it’s a fantastic charity for us to work with.”

HOP provides residential sales, lettings and investment services, as well block management, across offices in Leeds city centre, Horsforth and Pudsey. For further information about HOP and the competition, visit HOP's Golden Board Competition.
