A service was held in Burley-in-Wharfedale on Friday to mark the 100th anniversary of the unveiling of the village's War Memorial.
Organised by Rachel O'Connor, the village's Poppy Appeal Organiser, the service was led by the Methodist Minister, the Rev Tim Perkins.
The service was a replica of the 1923 service and opened as it did then with a rendition of 'God SaveThe King'.
The same hymns - 'O, Valiant Hearts' and 'For All The Saints' - were sung and the same Lesson was this time read by Val McKenzie of St Mary's Parish Church.
Prayers were offered by Canon Michael Mahady, of SS John Fisher and Thomas More RC Church. The Benediction was given by the Rev David Pickett, Rector of Guiseley.
Tom Pickard, the Royal British Legion representative, read the Roll of Honour for the 1914-18 War.
The Last Post and Reveille were sounded by James Roberts of the 1224 Wharfedale Squadron ATC whose band gave a short recital after the service.
The service was attended by Paul Lawrence, Deputy Lt of West Yokshire, and Gilly Carr, of the Royal British Legion.
