AN Ilkley community centre will be screening the coronation of King Charles III on a cinema-style wide screen on Saturday, May 6.

Guests at the Clarke Foley Centre, Cunliffe Road, Ilkley, will also enjoy afternoon tea.

A spokesperson for the Clarke Foley Centre said: "The Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort will take place on Saturday 6 May, with celebrations continuing over the bank holiday weekend.

"From street parties to open gardens, there are plenty of ways for communities across the country to commemorate this historic occasion.

"If you are looking to share this experience with others and haven’t yet made plans the team at the Clarke Foley centre are opening their doors with a big warm welcome for all to ensure that no one is alone for this historic occasion.

"Why not take the opportunity to make your own memories with a day watching the event unwind on the huge wide screen whilst being served an afternoon tea. There will be a bar and in addition tea & coffee will be served all day.

"The event runs from 10.30am to 2.30pm and tickets are just £15 and are available from the centre."
