FELL rescue volunteers were called to Ilkley Moor on Wednesday (March 22, 2023) to assist with a casualty who wasn't breathing.
Passers by had started CPR on the casualty and local team members with Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) joined in.
This was continued by paramedics and the air ambulance doctor but unfortunately all efforts to revive the male casualty were unsuccessful.
A spokesperson for Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) said: "The team was called to assist with a casualty who wasn't breathing and was receiving CPR from passers by.
"Local members joined in with the CPR, which was continued by paramedics and the air ambulance doctor. Unfortunately all efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
"The team transported the casualty down to a waiting ambulance.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends."
