A Hopper bus serving the centre of Menston is not being used by villagers.
Bradford councillor Chris Greaves (Con,Wharfedale) said the service was largely under- utilised and urged villagers to use it or lose it'.
The service, which was stopped in 2006, was brought back to the village in November last year following a campaign by the West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive and Authority Metro' and Menston Parish Council.
But Bradford councillor Chris Greaves (Con, Wharfedale) said more people needed to use it if the service was going to be retained.
He said: "We have got this service for three years and obviously it might take time to build it up, but a lot of people could be using this bus for free at the moment.
"There is no short-term threat, but we need to get patronage up. It's a question of value for money. We just need a few more passengers to secure it."
The bus calls at Cleasby Road, Hawksworth Drive, Saint Peter's Way and Main Street before returning to Otley.
The service is free to anyone over the age of 60.
