A NEW study on house prices has found that Bradford offers the best value for money in the country when buying a four-bed property.

The new study by Hammonds Furniture revealed for the average house price in Bradford you can get a detached four-bed house with two bathrooms and reception rooms for £268,000.

Bradford sits top of the rankings, while Newport and Preston are the only other cities you can get a four-bed but semi-detached.

Across Britain, for £268,000 the average property you can get is a three-bed semi-detached house with one bathroom and two reception rooms.

London, Edinburgh and Brighton will only get you a two-bed flat.

On average larger properties are available in the North of England than the South, according to the findings.
