THE Riverside Gardens Junior Parkrun which takes place in Ilkley each Sunday morning at 9am is approaching its first anniversary.
A spokesperson said: "It’s a 2km run, free to do (just register on the parkrun.org.uk website for the athlete barcode).
"Anyone from four to 14 years old can take part and adults can too (if they can keep up with their kids) but they don’t get a time recorded.
"The aim is to have fun. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!"
The event is run entirely by volunteers and the spokesperson added: "We’re always short of volunteers each week so if anyone is free then we’d love to have them (they need to register for a free barcode too). Duke of Edinburgh volunteers are welcome too.
"We’re on Facebook and Instagram and we put weekly shout outs on there for volunteers and people can reply on there or our email is riversidegardensjuniors@parkrun.com"
