The River Wharfe, near Strid Wood
A FELL rescue team was called to assist in the recovery of a body from Bolton Abbey yesterday evening (Sunday).
Police called the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association at 9.30pm for help to recover the body which had been found on the bank of the River Wharfe near Strid Wood.
A spokesperson for the Grassington based UWFRA said: "A small team was deployed to undertake the task. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased."
