AGE is no barrier for one couple taking part in the Clarke Foley Jubilee Spinathon which beings on Wednesday, June 1 at 5pm, and runs until Saturday, June 4 at 3pm.

Getting the Spinathon underway will be Bob Prosser, who will be 90 in November, and his wife Sheila Prosser, 85.

The couple are regulars at several exercise classes at the community centre in Ilkley and prove that age is just a number by being the first to get the pedals turning for the event which will see a team of riders cycling 70 hours non stop to raise vital funds towards the upgrade of the centre's audio-visual equipment.

The team of riders has been growing week-by-week since the event was announced in April, with people of all ages signing up to help complete the challenge.

If you would like to join Bob, Sheila, and the rest of the spinathon team, sign-up forms are still available at the centre, or online on the Spinathon webpage at www.clarkefoley.org.uk. Forms must be returned by no later May 14.

The Spinathon Just Giving page is now live at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/cfcjubileespinathon so you can make donations to support the team and help them reach their target.
