JET2 has announced an expansion to its Easter ski programme in response to looser Covid measures and strong demand.

The company has added more Easter flights to Geneva as skiers and snowboarders make up for lost time and the Swiss Government confirms the scrapping of pre-arrival testing for vaccinated travellers.

The airline is also restarting its ski flights to Lyon, Chambery and Grenoble this weekend after the reopening of the French border.

It says bookings are up across all of the eight ski destinations that it operates - Chambery, Geneva, Grenoble, Innsbruck, Lyon, Salzburg, Turin and Barcelona (Andorra).

The company is offering 10 per cent off all ski flights for this winter or for Winter 22/23. Bookings must be made by February 7.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “Skiers and snowboarders have missed out on the best part of two ski seasons over the past couple of years, so they are absolutely jumping at the opportunity to hit the slopes once again. All eight ski destinations that we have on sale this winter are looking extremely popular, and it is obvious that snow sports fans want to make the ski season last for as long as possible too. In response to that, we are expanding our Easter ski programme so that customers have even more choice when it comes to hitting the best slopes in Europe. With our ski flights restarting to France this weekend too, we are looking ahead to a very popular and successful ski season.”

The company's ski destinations from Leeds Bradford Airport this winter are Chambery, Geneva and Salzburg.

It is also running flights to ski destinations from Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.
