AN Ilkley woman has been fined after pleading guilty to a charge of drink driving.
Jayne Whitaker, 58, of Tivoli Place, Ilkley, drove a motor vehicle while over the legal alcohol limit on November 9, 2021, on Leeds Road, Harrogate.
She had consumed so much alcohol that the proportion of it in her breath, namely 63 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
She pleaded guilty when she appeared at Harrogate Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 25.
Magistrates fined her £276, ordered her to pay £34 to fund victim services and costs of £85.
She was banned from driving for 17 months.
