AN Ilkley motorist has been fined £340 after pleading guilty to drink driving.
Keiran Kurtalan, 22, of Hampshire Close, Ilkley, appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court on Tuesday, November 23, charged with driving a motor vehicle when his alcohol level was above the limit.
The offence was committed on November 4, 2021, when he drove a Blue Mini Cooper on Victory Road, Ilkley, with 62 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
He was fined £340 and ordered to pay £34 to fund victim services and costs of £85.
He was also banned from driving for 17 months.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
