RAWDON community library has announced the date for its November talk.
As part of their ‘Occasional Lecture Series’, a talk from woodland conservation charity, The Woodland Trust will take place on November 9, at 2pm.

The Woodland Trust is committed to planting trees, protecting woodland under threat and restoring ancient woodland that has been damaged.

The trust is the largest woodland conservation charity in the UK concerned with the creation, protection, and restoration of native woodland heritage. Since they began in 1972, they have planted 50 million trees, saved 1,172 woods and restored more than 34,000 hectares of woodland.

Roger Parkinson, of the Woodland Trust, will visit the library to talk about the history and achievements of the Trust, along with an account of recent and local activity.
Tickets are £5, which includes refreshments. They are available in advance or on the door.
