CLAPHAM Village Store, run by the community, for the community has much to shout about at the moment, after being told is has been nominated in The Plunkett Foundation’s Rural Community Business Awards.
The store has been chosen as one of the three finalists in the ‘Rural Vision Volunteering’ category.
The popular village store will now go forward to the final in London where the winners will be announced at a ceremony hosted by Dame Prue Leith on November 25.
Gemma Sills from the Plunkett Foundation said: “We are so pleased that we are able to recognise the store’s incredible efforts in not only creating new volunteering opportunities, but going above and beyond to support its invaluable workforce.”
