SPECSAVERS KEIGHLEY will be playing host to some Halloween fun this half-term.

On Wednesday 27 October, the store will be visited by the devilish and devious Cruel Ella as part of Halloween-themed fundraising activities in aid of Barnardo’s.

Between 10am–3pm, visitors to the store will be able to get their faces painted, enjoy craft activities and take part in a revolting lucky drip full of prizes and surprises. In an unusual act of kindness, Cruel Ella will also let children help her to design a new pair of spectacles for her latest fashion collection.

This was part of the store’s continuing fundraising activities, which, along with Specsavers Shipley, has been raising money for the Keighley Children's Charity in conjunction with Barnardo’s in recent months.

Raj Gill, store director of both Specsavers Keighley and Shipley, said: "Our Halloween fundraising day promises to be a lot of fun, there may even be some surprises and we’ll be raising money for a fantastic charity in Barnardo's.

"I’ve made Cruel Ella promise to be on her best behaviour too - she’s had to pinkie-swear and everything! - so everyone I would encourage everyone to come down to the store, get your eyes checked and have a great time while you’re here."

Both Keighley and Shipley stores are now fully open and continue to follow government guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic.
