WASHBURN Heritage Centre is holding a coffee morning to raise money for a cancer charity.
A spokesperson for the centre, at Fewston Church, said:"You are warmly invited to join us at the Heritage Centre on Friday 24 September at 10.30am to 12pm for a Macmillan Big Coffee Morning. We ask for a donation of £5 which enables you to enjoy unlimited coffee/tea and delicious homemade cake.
"All donations are going to Macmillan and vouchers issued for last year’s cancelled Macmillan Coffee Morning can be used. There will be a raffle. Hope to see you there for our usual selection of legendary homemade cakes and more."
The centre is run by volunteers to celebrate the heritage of the Washburn Valley. It features exhibitions about the heritage of the Valley, and it runs a programme of events including walks, workshops, talks and courses.
