A FANTASTIC sum of £4,500 to assist research into lymphoma was raised by members of The Bradford Golf Club at a charity day in memory of Eddie Zywicki last week.
Eddie’s wife Carmel and her family were the drivers behind the day held at the club in Hawksworth Lane, Guiseley, in support of Lymphoma Action.
Thirty-eight teams of members from both the Men’s and Ladies’ sections donated funds to take part in a three ball stableford competition alongside a fabulous raffle to raise the funds on the day.
A club spokesperson said: “It was as day enjoyed by everyone while even the weather played its part. It is hoped that this will now become an annual event to raise further fund to help in the fight against this disease.”
Lymphoma Action is the UK’s only charity dedicated to lymphoma, the fifth most common cancer.
