AN ONLINE audio archive has continued to grow despite the pandemic with interviews throughout the world.

The Back-Chat Collection - https://back-chat.org.uk/ -was launched by local historian Carlo Harrison to record the lives of ordinary people.

He said: "Zoom is the favoured method of contact and recording in these socially distanced and masked days which has opened up the opportunity to interview people from outside of the Aireborough locality.

"We are just about to publish our 50th interview which will be with Julie Cecere of Willow cottage which is an award winning Grade II listed bed and breakfast in Yeadon.

"The Back-Chat website is accessed by people from some 19 different countries across the globe, has over 6,000 regular followers each week and has had in excess of 31,000 page hits.

"When movement and gatherings are released by the government I will renew the talks with Jamie Hudson of Yeadon Town Hall to establish when we can put our time capsule into the Town hall, possibly the clock tower has was always intended.

"The 50 interviews that have been published cover just about every subject you can think of and plenty of ‘well I didn’t know that!’ too.

"Any questions, or suggestions of people to be interviews can be sent to me Carlo Harrison: carloharrison1947@gmail.com."
