Up to 20 new jobs are being created in the Ilkley area, staffing a homecare service that supports independent living.

Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton provides highly personalised care services for older people and adults living with disabilities and has recently invested into moving to a bigger office. Owner and Managing Director, Paresh Mistry is now seeking compassionate, committed, and highly-trained people to join the team as CareGivers delivering trusted support and companionship services within people’s homes.

Paresh, a local former accountant said: “I have been running Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton for nearly two years and after considerable growth we are now moving to a bigger more spacious office. I decided to open the business after I realised the huge growing need for reliable, top quality in-home care that promotes people’s independence and is delivered in the ‘right way’ - with dignity and respect and a holistic approach to someone’s well-being. “This approach is entrenched in our ethos of delivering highly personalised care, with a minimum of one-hour visits and with a continuity of regular CareGivers who build lasting relationships with their clients and their families, offering companionship and emotional support as well as physical and practical assistance.” Paresh said his business prides itself on investing in its staff.

“This is not a minimum wage role,” he said. “We’re looking for people with a dedicated and reliable approach, who take pride in helping others and are looking for a rewarding job role where they will be valued and well-supported.

“Applicants do not need to have previous experience in the care sector, as all our staff complete a comprehensive training package, which includes as much mentoring and shadowing as they need, in order to feel confident supporting clients in their homes.

“We will strive to offer regular yet flexible working hours, as well as opportunities to build a career in quality care.”

The private care at home market is growing fast, due to the ageing population, people’s desire to carry on living in their own homes as long as possible and the growing pressure on services delivered by Social Services.
