Living with Water will be the theme of a talk at Fewston Parochial Hall.

A spokesman said:“Turn on the tap in Leeds and you will most likely receive water from the Washburn Valley. Find out more from the heritage of this Valley and its pellucid waters then hear about Yorkshire Water’s plans for 'Living with Water'. "

The event will take place at Fewston Parochial Hall on Friday, June 25 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £7.50. Contact Washburn Heritage Centre by email at centre@washburnvalley.org or phone 01943 880794. The heritage centre is attached to Fewston Church and is run by volunteers.

It features exhibitions about the heritage of the valley, and volunteers run an extensive programme of events including walks, workshops, talks and courses.

As well as the permanent exhibition at the rear of the church, there are several temporary exhibitions in the Heritage Centre each year.
