THE Clarke Foley Community Centre has assembled a team of runners to take part in the Ilkley Half Marathon on Sunday, July 11. They are aiming to raise some much-needed funds to help upgrade the centre’s sound, audio and visual equipment to benefit their users and visitors. Many classes, groups, activities, and events that take place at Clarke Foley rely on the use of the centre’s projectors and sound and speaker systems, most of which have remained unchanged for over 30 years. The team, consisting of Stuart Hyde, Joe Short, Esmaeil Habib Zadeh, Ian White, and Lee Teal, are aiming to help the centre modernise its facilities by completing the gruelling 13-mile run. None of the team are regular runners so if all members.
