A GROUP of runners from Airecentre Pacers answered a call for volunteers to plant up summer bedding for Guiseley in Bloom.

The emergency call came after the organisers found themselves short of regular volunteers due to illness. Airecentre Pacers, who regularly make a charitable donation to Guiseley in Bloom from the proceeds of the annual Chevin Chase Boxing day race, stepped forward to fill the gaps, helping to remove the old winter flowering plants and plant up the new summer bedding on the large Guiseley Gyratory Roundabout.

Their efforts were appreciated by organiser Barry Spink who said: "We are always on the lookout for volunteers to lend a hand with keeping the centre of Guiseley looking smart and cheerful by adding a splash of colour to this busy junction and elsewhere in the town.”
