BRADFORD City trio Clayton Donaldson, Connor Wood and Billy Clarke have all spoken after their departures from the club were confirmed.

They are three of the nine players due to leave when their contracts expire at the end of next month, and have all expressed their gratitude to the club.

Bradford native Donaldson said it was a privilege and an honour to have played for and captained his hometown club, and said he hopes the fans can be back supporting the club next season.

Wood, who posted a picture of himself taking a set-piece, said he wished the club "nothing but success for the future".

Finally, Clarke, who has seen a third spell at Valley Parade come to an end, said it was always with honour and pride that he played for City.

Anthony O'Connor, Lee Novak, Zeli Ismail, Harry Pritchard, Connor Shanks and Will Huffer are the other men who are being released.
