CITY finished with a whimper as Morecambe inflicted their sixth loss from the last seven games of the season.

T&A chief sports writer SIMON PARKER was at the Mazuma Stadium and provides the match stats and his player ratings.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Jorge Sikora did not look out of place on his league debut. The teenager was caught out in the build-up to Morecambe’s second goal but generally held his own on the big stage.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

Hard to think of one from City’s perspective – other than it took until the 76th minute to finally register an effort on target.

MOAN OF THE MATCH

This performance was typical of this worrying slide in the closing weeks of the season. City may have had a lot of the ball but were comfortably second best.

TACTICS

Centre half Jorge Sikora was handed a start as one of three changes on the final day. Ollie Crankshaw was back on the wing after his recent breathing issues and Andy Cook was restored to the starting side as City went with two up front.
