IT was a tough night for clubs in the Bradford District as the Bradford & District Golf Association Rabbits season got underway last Thursday.
With the first four weeks of the season only between Division A clubs, due to Silsden's departure meaning a restructure is needed lower down, there were three fixtures taking place.
The first saw a 4-2 defeat for West Bradford against Hollins Hall. They lost their first two matches of the contest, but a 3&2 win for Pete Jackson over Jerry Sutton salvaged some pride.
Cleckheaton did not even get that consolation, hammered 6-0 by Rawdon.
Finally, South Bradford lost 4-2 at Skipton. Martin Boyes and Andy Heart suffered 2&1 and 4&2 defeats respectively, but Alan Terry edged out Graham Jolly on the final hole to grab the two points.
