ILKLEY Grammar School student James Sabin and his brother Phil have completed a tandem skydive to raise money for DrugFAM.

The pair raised £1,200 to help the charity which supports anyone who has a family member or loved one battling addiction to drugs or alcohol. James has spent the last few years raising awareness around the dangers of drugs and last year was awarded The Young Citizen of the Year Award in the Craven Community Champions Awards for his fundraising efforts and talks in school. James and Phil lost their brother Daniel to an accidental drug overdose in 2013 and James is now a young ambassador with the charity. This year due to the impact of Covid the numbers of callers to the DrugFAM helpline has risen drastically and yet fundraising has fallen due to social limitations.
