ENQUIRIES are ongoing today following a tragic crash that killed two people near Addingham last week.

The horror crash prompted a major response from  emergency services, who were called to the scene on the A65 in Addingham, at 8.10am on Thursday.

The crash involved a lorry, which was carrying livestock, and two other vehicles.

Police reported that the drivers of both cars, a man in his 20s and a woman in her 20s, were pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the lorry was taken to hospital with significant injuries.

The road was closed while police carried out their investigation and today police told the Telegraph and Argus the accident remains under investigation.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the circumstances of the collision."
