A GARGRAVE woman has been banned from driving for 14 months after admitting drink-driving.
Rebecca Morley, 31, of High Street, admitted three charges of being over the alcohol limit, driving other than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance on June 19 last year.
Prosecutor Nadine Clough told magistrates sitting in Skipton that the police were called at 7.30am to a report that Morley had 'driven off' and was over the alcohol limit.
The caller was concerned for her safety and feared she would self-harm, the bench was told.
Officers eventually found Morley parked in Hellifield at around 8.25am. She was sitting on the ground holding an empty bottle of vodka, said Miss Clough. She was taken to hospital for a check up and while there produced an alcohol reading of 118 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrammes.
Defending, Ansar Khan said Morley had been drinking the night before. She admitted having mental health issues and had been intent on self-harming.
Mr Khan said since the incident his client had become pregnant and had completely stopped drinking, adding there was no chance of repetition,
Morley was ordered to pay a fine of £291, a surcharge of £34 and costs of £85.
There were no separate penalties given for the additional two offences.
