North Yorkshire Police say more than half the Covid fines they issued were to peoiple visiting the distrit from West Yorkshire
NORTH Yorkshire Police have fired a warning shot across the bows of visitors from outside the district to keep away, with more than half of the fines issued to visitors from West Yorkshire.
The police today said over the past seven days, 33 out of 50 Covid fines issued to non North Yorkshire residents were handed to people from West Yorkshire.
A spokesman said: " We love North Yorkshire and we know you do too, but now is not the right time to visit."
They added the hashtags #North Yorkshire Police @NYorksPolice #StayAtHomeStayLocalStaySafe
