WITH the football season able to resume now for Ilkley Town AFC after the second lockdown, local Financial Adviser and Wealth Manager, Dan Riley, responded to its appeal for new sponsors and was happy to add his support to the club.

As a big football fan himself, Dan has been impressed with the club’s ambitious plans for promotion and its core values of inclusion and community.

The club also advocates creating opportunities for people to develop skills, which Dan feels strongly about.

This and his desire to mentor people led to a major change in career direction two years ago, when following many months’ of intensive training and professional development at the prestigious St. James’s Place Academy, he qualified as a Financial Adviser.

Dan is already a familiar face at Ilkley Town AFC where he is celebrating his fifth year of coaching the Club’s junior players and is continually proud of the young team’s enthusiasm and dedication.

Dan is also impressed with the club’s overall aim of becoming the number one community club in Yorkshire.

Dan said: “Having an ultimate goal is very important, both privately and professionally.

“I take a goals-based approach to financial planning so there is a fitting symmetry between being focused on my clients’ goals and helping the Under 10’s score their own particular goals.

”But above all, I am keen to help people and support the local community and am proud to be involved with Ilkley Town AFC.”

Dan is based at the Practice, Sarah Siddons Financial Planning, which is located on the Skipton Road in Ilkley.
