COMMUNITY education classes have started up in Otley again - despite the ongoing pandemic.
Prince Henry’s Grammar School has just started up a variety of courses, ranging from sewing and patchwork to African Drumming, foreign languages and guitar.
The classes are being taught via a mixture of online evening sessions and some socially distanced, in-school sessions at weekends, with more also becoming available during the October half-term.
Assistant Headteacher and Programme Director Christopher Lillington said: “It’s been a real challenge to safely combine the return to school with our commitment to provide education for our wider community but we are really pleased to have started classes. We know that they can be of real social, as well as educational, benefit so it was important to keep the programme going.” Visit www.princehenrys.co.uk/community/community education for more.
