AN ONLINE greetings card company has been providing a ‘lifeline’ for designers in Otley.
Rebecca Gilray is part of a community of artists, illustrators and photographers that work for thortful.com.
And Rebecca, who contributes as Do You Punctuate?, says the business has helped her to not only survive but flourish during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She said: “I’ve always wanted to work with mums who needed a job that fitted between school houtd and was based in Otley.
“The beauty of working online and from home came into its own during lockdown where sales for my thortful cards skyrocketed, and I have had the best turnover during Father’s Day.
“That boost meant I was able to upgrade my computer, develop new products and keep myself ticking over until the peak seasons come again.
“Without thortful and their platform I don’t believe I would have had the exposure that traditional advertising brings.”
