TIME is running out to enter the Martin House Hospice Care for Children and Young People’s Superdraw – with a chance to win £3,000.

The Superdraw, which celebrates 15 years of the Martin House lottery, closes for entries on September 28, with the draw taking place on October 7.

It has a top prize of £3,000, with a £1,000 second prize, two third prizes of £500 and 20 runner-up prizes of £10.

Zara Shillito, individual giving co-ordinator at Martin House, said: “We’ve had an amazing response to our first Superdraw, but there is still time to enter if you want to be in with a chance of winning.”

Martin House, which cares for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions from across West, North and East Yorkshire, has seen its income hit hard by the pandemic, as it was forced to cancel fundraising events and close its shops during lockdown.

Zara added: “We normally run two raffles a year, but we’ve had to cancel them due to the pandemic, so the Superdraw is our only big competition this year. Thanks to our sponsor, HARIBO, more of the money raised will go straight to supporting families.”

Julie Beaman, Corporate Communications Assistant at HARIBO, said: “Without the ability to host traditional fundraising events, Martin House, like many other charities, has found itself facing a difficult time. Every bit of support makes a really valuable difference right now – which is why we are proud to be continuing to work in partnership with the team, by sponsoring their first ever Superdraw.”

Tickets cost £2 and are available from www.martinhouse.org.uk/superdraw. Players have to be over 18 to enter and can buy up to 50 tickets, and tickets have to be bought by Monday 28th September to be entered into the draw.
