WHARFEDALE and Aireborough residents can now send in dashcam footage to the police.
West Yorkshire Police has joined 22 other forces in England by opening up an online portal for the submission of footage that has been captured by a road user.
The portal is designed to be an easy tool that can be used by drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, horse riders and motorcyclists. Anyone who has footage showing someone committing a driving offence is encouraged to send it in.
The footage should:
*Be of an incident that took place in West Yorkshire Police area within the last seven days
*Be of good enough quality to stand up in court and clearly show the offending vehicle’s registration number
*Not have been altered in any way
