SISTERS from Menston are hoping to make an out of the ordinary impact on the online gifting market.

Kelly Appleby and Victoria Green have just launched a website to showcase their range of ‘gifts with extra ooo’. The idea behind OOO (‘Out of the Ordinary’) Gifts is to ‘create a range of products which has something for everyone sourced from the best local, artisan makers’.

Visitors to can choose from a variety of gift boxes and a Bespoke Box service is also available for those who want to put together their own mixture of products.

Kelly said: “We’ve always loved buying gifts, especially gifts which speak to people and show them you have really thought about them. But it can be very difficult and time consuming.

“We wanted to create a brand which people could trust to make their gift buying easier.

“We do all of the research, constantly discovering fabulous new products to add to our range, so that every time people come back, they will find something new. The bespoke side of our business is very important to us, allowing customers to fine tune their gifts with ease.”

Victoria added: “In the current situation, so many people are doing most of their shopping online. But this doesn’t have to be from supermarkets or big online giants. There are so many talented artisan makers out there.”

The arrangement has also helped product makers who have been affected by the COVID-19 lockdown. Tess Townsend, from Yellow Room Designs in Horsforth, said: “When OOO Gifts contacted me I knew it was an exciting concept and that collaborations and online selling were definitely the way forward.”
