A WHARFEDALE pub is under new ownership after being sold this week.
The Half Moon Inn, at Pool-in-Wharfedale, had been on the market since almost the start of this year.
The Main Street property’s sale has been handled by specialist estate agents Westlake & Co, who had listed it with a price guide of £265,000.
The freehold pub was marketed as a ‘long-established traditional public house comprising bar and dining accommodation on ground level, having five en suite letting bedrooms and private management quarters over’.
The listing continued: “Fronting the busy A658 Harrogate/Otley and Bradford/Wetherby routes the premises are prominently situated in the centre of this very popular residential village - enjoying a significant potential catchment and convenient for a wide surrounding area.”
Westlake & Co have confirmed that the sale went through on Tuesday, July 28, though details of the buyer are yet to be publicised.
Otley Pub Club President Greg Mulholland had posted a message about the Half Moon on Twitter a few days beforehand, saying the fact it was on the market was ‘good news’ and adding that it was ‘time that it was bought by a good local operator’.
