A GROUP dedicated to maintaining and promoting Otley Chevin has launched a new-look website.

The volunteers who make up the Friends of Chevin Forest put their lockdown time to good use by putting the finishing touches to the site, at https://www.chevinforest.co.uk.

The more interactive website now includes a blog, contributed photographs and stories, and species listings.

Volunteer Penny Redwood said: “You can also download the historical walks, including the new walk on Danefield developed with Otley Walkers, and listen to the geology walk.

“The historical information has been updated and we welcome any stories, knowledge or photos that you may have to share.

“There are links to other organisations and societies that use the Chevin, too - take a look!”

The site’s homepage features a revolving gallery of photographs showing the Chevin’s views, paths, flora and landmarks.

The page also welcomes visitors to ‘a unique area of natural landscape’ that is made for exploring.
