THE New Saints Foundation has confirmed its holiday activity programme will be returning over the summer holidays.

Government advice regarding out of school holiday provision was published last week, and the foundation has since been working on plans to arrange a return for the holiday camps.

The activities, which take place in Gobowen, St Martins and Weston Rhyn are supported by funding from Three Parishes Big Local, Wrekin Housing Trust, Shropshire Council and St Martins Parish Council.

TNS Foundation confirmed outdoor holiday activities will be available for children aged between five and 13 in the three villages throughout the summer holidays.

A spokesman for the foundation said: “The programme will be slightly different from previous years, with additional safeguards required due to the Covid-19 crisis.

“Activities will be for just one hour per week in each location, and all children and young people attending will be provided with a pre-prepared packed lunch to take home with them at the end of the session.”

Sessions will take place every Monday from July 20 until August 24 in Gobowen, Every Wednesday from July 22 to August 26 in St Martins and every Thursday from July 23 to August 27 in Weston Rhyn.

Numbers will be restricted to 20 children per session, with places available on a first come first served basis.
