With the school year nearly over, it is time for parents to start thinking about activities and places in East Lancashire to take the kids.
Many places are reopening and hosting some unique activities to take part in with all the family.
If you are looking for more things to do in the region, here are five places you can visit in East Lancashire this summer:
Shores Hey Farm, Burnley
Opening hours: Everyday 11am- 4pm
Cost: Free
If your little ones love horses, then Shores Hey Farm is a must-visit destination.
Kids can get to know the horses and ponies at the farm, as well as how they are looked after.
There is also a children’s play area and café to visit.
If you want to visit the farm, you must book in advance through their website.
Thompson Park Railway, Burnley

Blackpool Zoo

Witton Country Park
Cinemas were closed throughout lockdown and many people were desperate to watch movies on the big screen again.
Luckily, cinemas have been given the green light to open again and Witton Country Park has embraced this by hosting drive in cinema events.
From 17-19th July, families can pay £20 per car to watch some classic movies.
This is the line-up:
Friday 17 July
