POLICE who raided a house on a Rhyl estate found a cannabis factory in the loft, a court was told.

As well as seven live plants there were 14 others which had been harvested, and in the kitchen officers found £1,700 in cash.

Peter Gary Taylor, 32, of Rhodfa Maen Gwyn, pleaded guilty at Llandudno magistrates’ court to producing the drug, possessing it with intent to supply, being concerned in its supply and also possessing a quantity of cocaine.

His partner, Heather Christine Summerfield, 24, denied a single charge of being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

Both were bailed to appear at Mold Crown Court, Taylor on July 30 and Summerfield on August 7.
