THE Real Food Ilkley market has been given the go-ahead to run a market on The Grove on Sunday.

The market normally takes place on the first Sunday of the month but has been closed during lock-down and also beset by problems with the weather.

A market spokesperson said: "Real Food Ilkley had to be postponed last Sunday due to a yellow weather warning (gusts of around 50mph do not work well with gazebos).

"We have been given the news that we can try again this coming Sunday (July 12th) and we will be back on The Grove from 10am to 3pm.

"This is very special for us and our stallholders as we have not had a market since February due to Covid-19, and then extreme weather conditions.

"We're just finalising the stallholder list and will let you know who will be there asap. However we truly hope you will be! Fingers crossed the weather is on our side this Sunday."

Produce on sale includes everything from cheese, bread and brownies to gluten free goodies, honey, fresh fruit and veg, and fresh meat from the farm.
