So we leave the EU at the end of the year. But where is the trade deal we were promised?

Yes, a small majority voted to leave but we were told that trade with the EU would not be affected, “This would be the easiest trade deal ever”.

I suspect that this government has no intention of making a deal and that with the hit to the economy from Covid-19, people will not notice the additional hit from a no-deal Brexit.

The Government has already worked out the tariffs it will charge on imported goods including foods in the case of a no deal, so prices will be rising.

According to Michael McGough, this may be the end of Project Fear but for some of us it’s the start of Project Terrified!
