NIGHT-TIME roadworks will be carried out at Bramhope this week.
Four way traffic lights will be in operation on the A660 Leeds Road / Kings Road roundabout between 6.30pm and midnight on Thursday, June 25 and Friday, June 26.
The work is part of the ongoing highways scheme linked to Miller Homes’ 319 home Spring Wood Park development, off Leeds Road and Breary Lane East.
It will involve footway and road works to install a new left turn lane - from Leeds Road inbound, onto Kings Road - at the roundabout.
Leeds City Council has been sent a letter out to warn residents to expect some disruption.
It says: “Attempts had been made to do the works during the day however this caused unacceptable congestion, therefore the works will now be carried out over two evening/night shifts.
“Noisy operations will be carried out during the earlier part of the evening and then we will endeavour to keep noise levels low towards midnight. We apologies for any inconveniences in advance and ask that you bear with us whilst we carry out the works as quickly as possible.”
