THREE Keighley neighbours have each scooped £1,000 in the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The trio – of Litton Road, in the Fell Lane area – netted the windfall when BD22 6DR was announced as a daily prize winner.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his congratulations to the winners.

“What great news to start off their day!” he said. “I hope they enjoy their winnings.”

At least 32 per cent of proceeds from ticket sales in the People’s Postcode Lottery go directly to charities.

Since the launch of the initiative, over £500 million has been raised for thousands of good causes.

The latest draw was promoted by Amnesty International UK, which has received over £8.1 million in funding through the venture.

The charity works to educate people about human rights issues.

Causes within local communities also receive support from the People’s Postcode Lottery and the next applications for funding will open in August. For further information, visit postcodelottery.co.uk or Facebook and Twitter.
