WHARFEDALE pubs have been doing what they can to keep going during the coronavirus pandemic.

Inns in the area, like those up and down the country, have been closed to the public since Saturday, March 21 as part of the ‘lockdown’ restrictions imposed to tackle the crisis.

But that hasn’t stopped some from keeping busy with everything from providing deliveries of hot food to holding online versions of their usual events.

At The Swan in Addingham publicans Jon Sayers and Amy Keegan have invested in a bicycle and basket to ‘take the pub to customers’ by delivering a range of hot meals - and beer. And Groove Pad Beer and Vinyls in Otley has launched the Groove Pad Social Distancing Quiz to keep its regular quiz teams happy. The virtual event is being held at 9pm each Wednesday - for more details visit the bar’s Facebook page.
