ROTARIANS from Otley got some fundraising done before the coronavirus-linked restrictions started to bite.
The Rotary Club of Otley Chevin held a recent collection at Morrisons supermarket in Guiseley for Marie Curie.
The proceeds will help the charity to continue providing care and support to people with terminal illnesses and their families.
Over the past five years of fundraising the Rotary Club of Otley Chevin has raised more than £9,000 for a number of charities. The groups it has helped have included: Martin House Children’s Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support nurses, the Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice, St Gemma’s Hospice, St George’s Crypt, the Sylvia Wright Trust and Otley Action for Older People.
The club- - which has suspended its meetings in light of guidelines over Covid-19 - also supports Dictionaries 4 Life, Aqua Boxes, Polio Plus and the Courthouse Project.
