YEADON Carnival has donated £750 each to to two good causes.

The money has gone to the community disability group DREAM and the Yeadon Christmas Lights committee. Funding came from the proceeds of the raffle, raised during the Yeadon carnival’s most successful event ever.

After the presentation last year a spokesman for DREAM said the money would be spent providing transport and buying equipment to give people it worked with the chance to try new things and have fun in a safe environment.

Yeadon Christmas Lights said the money would be used to reach a wider audience and to allow for a Christmas tree in the centre of Yeadon.

The Carnival committee thanked the 2019 Sponsors, Manning Stanton, Potting Shed - Guiseley, and Leeds Bradford Airport, in helping making the 2019 carnival the most successful yet. The 2020 Carnival will be held on Saturday, July 4.
