A GUISELEY-BASED energy supplier is teaming up with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) on a tree planting drive.
United Gas & Power’s partnership with the Trust will result in more than 1,000 new trees being planted this year with the company dedicating one for every new customer that signs up to its 100 per cent renewable electricity offer.
Head of Marketing Joanna Czternastek, said: “The global climate crisis is one of the defining issues of our generation and as an energy business we believe we have a key part to play in supporting the UK’s agenda to reach a carbon neutral state by 2050.”
The Trust, meanwhile, is currently supporting the planting of 27,000 trees as part of its Together for Trees campaign.
