A GROUP dedicated to protecting local wildlife will hold its first social evening next weekend.
The Wildlife Friendly Otley event takes place at the Horse and Farrier, on Bridge Street, from 7pm on Saturday, February 29.
The group officially launched just over a year ago and co-founder Andrew McKeon has been pleased with the progress it has made so far.
He said: “We’re delighted to have gained a lot of support.
“We recently launched our 2020 Pledge for Wildlife campaign and are developing campaigns for duck food, hedgehogs, school wildlife makeovers and tree planting.
“The social set-up is a chance to thank those who have supported us and give members a chance to meet and welcome anyone interested in meeting others with an interest in helping local wildlife and biodiversity.”
